HOW TO PREPARE FIOFIO BEANS WITH ACHICHA

RECIPE

Achicha (dried cocoyam)

FIOFIO beans (Red beans)

Pepper

Palm oil

Seasoning

Onions

Salt to taste

Plantain leaf

PROCEDURE

Select and wash the red beans, and boil till its soft.

Put it in a sieve and allow the water to drain

Pound the achicha till its slightly smooth

Put inside a bowl of water and wash. Repeat this process twice.

Cut some part of the plantain leaf, take a little of the achicha and put inside the leaf and tie.

Repeat until its finished.

Then put the tied achicha inside a clean pot, add water to cover the achicha and boil for about 40 minutes.

Wash and slice the onions, and set aside. Grind the pepper and set aside.

Put a Clean pot on the fire, add some palm oil and allow to heat for 5 seconds. Then add the slized onions and Fry for 5 seconds.

Add the red beans and stair, add the grinded pepper, seasoning, and salt to taste.

Untie the plantain leaf and add the achicha, stair and serve.
