The Shell fossil oil Development Company of Federal Republic of Nigeria (SPDC) is delighted to announce the eight annual SPDC Niger Delta Postgraduate Scholarship theme for candidates from Rivers, Delta, Imo and Bayelsa States.The objective of the theme is to produce a chance for qualifying students from these Niger Delta States to more their education in courses that are relevant to the oil and gas business.
In the eight years of this programme, seventy nine students have won the chance to review at top-rated universities within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on full scholarship
For the tutorial year commencing September 2019, SPDC in partnership with 3 universities within the UK–Imperial school London; University of Leeds; and University of Aberdeen can award scholarships for annual post-graduate M.Sc. studies.
The scholarship can cowl tuition, one economy return-flight price tag from Federal Republic of Nigeria to the united kingdom and a contribution towards living expenses only*.
Please note that the stipends (living expenses) are supported the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) revealed living rates and are restricted to the present solely.
This is a non-committal scholarship. Note that NEITHER SPDC NOR any Shell company is indebted to supply employment of any type to any candidate upon graduation, neither are triple-crown candidates secure to SPDC for any amount of your time on account of the scholarship award.

Shell Niger Delta Postgraduate Scholarship Eligibility:
To qualify for the scholarship, candidates should
Display sound intellectual ability and leadership potential.
Meet the individual university’s English language needs (usually a minimum of vi.5 in IELTS score valid for Sept. 2018 admission). Please note that TOEFL isn’t any longer recognised by most United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland universities. Candidates are suggested that failure to fulfill every university’s English language demand at the time of choice might invalidate their application.
Be aged between 21-28 years by 30/09/2019.
Be an indigene of Rivers, Delta, Imo or Bayelsa states (documentary proof of this may be needed and can be verified).
Currently reside in Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Plan to come back to Federal Republic of Nigeria on completion of the planned programme of study.
Have obtained a university degree (at least of equivalent commonplace to a United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Second category higher Honours degree).
Not have studied antecedently within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or the other developed country
Have a Nigerian international passport valid until December 2020
Be neither a current nor former worker (who has left employment but five years before) of SPDC or the Royal Dutch Shell cluster or any Shell company or the native Nigerian advisor
Not be a spousal equivalent, kid or ward of employees of Shell corporations in Federal Republic of Nigeria or the native Nigerian advisor
Method of Application
Application forms for the scholarship can solely be on the market through the websites of the Imperial school London, the University of Leeds and University of Aberdeen, following a proper supply of admission by the university.
The universities can method applications and choose candidates to attend interviews before being thought-about for final choice
Completed scholarship application forms should reach taking part universities and also the native Nigerian advisor not later than June fifteen, 2019.
