The new cluster director (GMD), Nigerian National crude Corporation (NNPC), Malam Mele Kyari says the corporation can partner with Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to fight corruption in its operations.
Kyari disclosed this in his address at the Valedictory Session control for the outgoing GMD, Dr Maikanti Baru, in Abuja on Monday. Kyari is the nineteenth GMD to steer the affairs of the corporation since origin.
“There is not any corruption wherever there’s no discretion; we’ll work with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to require out discretion in our system.
“NNPC won’t be opaque, we’ll make what we do known to Nigerians since we are operating for them, and not doing them a favour,” he said
He aforesaid that his team would be clear and wouldn’t work to create deliberate mistakes.
Kyari added that he wouldn’t enable his personal interest to influence his selections and urged his relations to not settle for any gift from anyone.
“I have 2 sons and that I have adopted such a lot of, let Maine say it currently publicly, if you settle for any gift from anyone, it’s not be on behalf of me.
“For the general public, please don’t offer any gift to my loved ones, “he said.
He pledged to figure with varied stakeholders within the sector to sustain Baru’s heritage

“We would like all the support trust and understanding to deliver NNPC as a worldwide company of excellence,” he said.
While commending Baru on its efforts, he assured him that he would continue from wherever he stopped and would deliver on the areas of oil and gas production.
“I am a part of the choices and progress created within the last 3 years. I guarantee you that we’ll create NNPC a worldwide company.
“We can take away discretion in doing business to confirm transparency, we’ll open new ways that to fulfill with all stakeholders and that we are going to be responsible to voters,” he said.
He any aforesaid that his team would deliver on revamping of the four refineries and support each effort to assist Dangote works return on stream.
“Our expectation is that by 2023 Federal Republic of Nigeria are going to be web businessperson of crude product and that we target to grow the reserve to forty billion barrel by 2020.
