How to cook beans with fried plantain


They are so ways to cook every meal. Different people prepare their meals in different ways. The way you prepare your meal doesn’t matter as long as it comes out well.

I don’t use one method to cook a particular meal. I use different methods depending on my mood.

So today I will show you two different methods which you can use to prepare beans.

Ingredients :

4 cups of Beans

5 balls Pepper (Blended)

Crayfish (Blended)

1 big size Onions (Chopped)

2 cubes of Seasoning

Palm oil

Vegetable oil (Optional)

Fresh tomatoes (Optional)

Dry fish (Optional)

Vegetables (Optional)

Ripe plantain

Salt to taste

First method:

Prepare your ingredients.

That is; wash and cut the vegetables, blend the pepper and crayfish, chop the onions, etc.

Select the beans, wash it, put in a clean pot, and put on the burner and allow to boil for about 30 minutes.

Bring down the beans and sieve out the water, put fresh clean boiled water and allow to boil till its soft. Set aside

Wash, peel and dice the ripe plantain.

Put a clean dry frying pan on the burner, allow to heat up for about 10 seconds.

Add the diced plantain and fry till brown.

Remove from the hot oil and set aside.

Add a little palm oil to the vegetable oil, then add the chopped onions and tomatoes and allow for 20 seconds.

Add to the beans, then add other ingredients with a little water if it was completely dry and stir with a wooden spoon.

Add the vegetables if you like, and allow for about 10 minutes.

Serve with the fried plantain.

Note: You do not stir beans while cooking. That’s why I said you should stir with a wooden spoon.

Now the reason why I said you should stir is that the beans would not stay on the burner for long, so you need to stir it so that the ingredients can circulate. so with the wooden spoon, you have nothing to worry about.

Second method:

After you have prepared your ingredients, boil the beans for about 30 minutes and sieve out the water as we did in the first method above.

Add fresh clean boiled water and allow to boil till soft.

Add all the ingredients and allow to boil till the water is about to dry up.

Stir and bring down immediately.

Serve with the fried plantain.
